Audition for Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile!

About:

Kay Ridgeway has led a charmed life. Blessed with beauty, enormous wealth, and a new husband, she embarks on a honeymoon voyage down the Nile. Fatal circumstances await when the idyllic surroundings are shattered by a shocking and brutal murder. Under scrutiny is a multitude of memorable passengers, all with a reason to kill. The tension and claustrophobia builds, as a shocking and audacious conspiracy is laid bare.

Audition Process:

If you have a headshot and resume, we will ask you to upload it when completing the Audition Form. You will also need to provide your conflicts in the form; conflicts will be taken into account when casting. Auditioners shall prepare a 1-minute monologue, RFP (British accent) preferred. Callbacks will consist of cold readings from the script.

Child and Youth Safety Information:

All cast members and production team members must be at least 18-years-old.

Rehearsals:

Read through will be Saturday, December 20, 2025, during the late morning or afternoon. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and Sundays 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, beginning Sunday, January 4, 2025.

  • Actors will be expected to make substantial progress in memorizing their lines over the Christmas/New Year’s break.

Not all actors will necessarily be called for every rehearsal, and occasional days may be added, depending on availability.

Tech week is Sunday, March 1, 2026 through Thursday, March 5, 2026. Tech rehearsals will be at the APC Theater, 180 Academy St., 30009.

Shows are March 6-22, 2026, Friday & Saturday evenings at 7:30, and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Performances will be in the APC Theater, 180 Academy St., 30009.

No conflicts tech week or show dates.

Roles:

All roles are non-Equity; no pay, no fee. Some roles may be double cast.

  • Beadsellers: pesky peddlers of cheap trinkets

  • Steward: the head waiter

  • Miss Helen ffoliot-ffoulkes: a wealthy snob

  • Christina Grant: her niece

  • William Smith: a wise-cracking socialist

  • Louise: Kay Mostyn's maid

  • Dr Bessner: a psychologist and physician

  • Kay Mostyn: the "richest girl in England"

  • Simon Mostyn: Kay's husband

  • Canon Ambrose Pennefather: Kay's uncle and guardian

  • Jacqueline de Severac: Kay's ex-best friend and Simon's ex-fiancée

  • McNaught: the Lotus's captain.
